The Maritime Executive: New Sanitizing Technology Makes Quick Work of COVID-19

In a recent article by The Maritime Executive, anolyte (HOCl) has been identified as a new, safe way of disinfecting and sanitising cruise liners.
Sanitation is an essential component of cruise ship operation, and in recent months it has become an even more critical component, thanks to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, many cruise liners in Europe have switched over to using anolyte-based disinfectant agents as apposed to chemical-based ones. In fact, an established Norwegian cruise liner said they have made the switch because of HOCl’s proven effectiveness in killing bacteria, fungi and viruses.
Anolyte’s versatility is propably one of the biggest reasons why cruise liners are opting to use these products as their preferred cleaning agents, seeing as it can be used in every compartment onboard, from galleys and dining areas to cabins. For instance, it can be used to wash fish and seafood, fruits and vegetables and for the sanitation of food prep surfaces without rinsing. The same ingredient (anolyte) can also be used in foggers for the disinfecting of cabins and other areas onboard ships.
